While unsurprising, it is a dissapointing sight to see. And it seems Rainfurest is not the only con to have a venue reject them. However, rather than due to property damage beyond comprehension, the threats of a select few on Twitter have nay killed any chance for an official venue to host FFA outside of a last minute booking. (See attatched).
As to why this is important, seeing a backlash so strong a hotel has to distance themselves from hosting a convention may invoke a negative reaction any other name-brand hotel chain would have when approached by AWOO. Hotel chains talk. And when all the chains refuse to host you, nay to say, people have to get creative.
While a setback to the convention being officially hosted, the chairmen/chairwoman/chair-xer seems to be pushing foward at least hosting a small few events in and around Tulsa. Will update on this thread or elsewhere with future developments as they arise.
